1977 Academy Awards: A movie fan, standing in a crowd across from the Dorothy Chandler Pavilion, reacts to a Palestinian demonstrator. A controversy had developed prior to the Oscars that year about the nomination of actress Vanessa Redgrave, who was chosen as a nominee in the best supporting actress category for the film JULIA, while also having done a voice-over for film THE PALESTINIAN in the same year.
